CAHS Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Ricki Davis participated in the Victoria’s Voice Presents “Save Our Kids Family Forum,” held Oct. 16 at Louisiana Blue in Baton Rouge.
The event was organized in partnership with East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, the Parish of East Baton Rouge, and the City of Baton Rouge.

Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Fred Stokes hosted the event. He was also a member of the Washington Redskins in 1991 when that team won the Super Bowl.
The forum was designed to address critical issues affecting today’s youth, including the alarming rise in drug use and fentanyl-related deaths. Panelists at the event included:
- EBR Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome
- Baton Rouge Police Chief Thomas Morse Jr.
- EBR Parish Coroner William “Beau” Clark, MD
- Marilyn McCulley, a mother who tragically lost her child to fentanyl poisoning
- Louisiana Blue Manager of Special Investigations Kandyce Cowart
The panelists provided valuable perspectives on community safety, health risks, and efforts to combat the ongoing opioid crisis, particularly the threat posed by fentanyl. The event underscored the importance of community collaboration in saving lives and protecting children from the dangers of substance abuse.
Richbourg and Davis talked with attendees about risks to youth and prevention strategies aimed at reducing drug-related harm.
