CAHS’ “Your Health, Your Harvest” Community Health Fair, held Nov. 15 at the agency’s Coursey Blvd. location, attracted about 300 attendees who received a variety of resources and services from 38 community vendors.
CAHS Executive Director Dr. Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, CCS, led the event, along with CAHS Prevention and Wellness Services Director Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, and Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Ricki Davis-Robinson, PSIT.
The CAHS team provided hot lunches, fresh produce, free turkeys, children’s diapers, smoothie drinks, gift cards, door prizes, and free kits of Narcan, the life-saving medication that reverses the effects of overdoses from opioids.

The team also provided information about the agency’s services in the areas of children’s and school based therapy, behavioral health, addiction recovery, developmental disabilities, and prevention.
Special thanks to these generous community partners and sponsors who helped make the event such a success: Aetna Better Health Louisiana, Grace House, Prime Senior Placement, Priority Care, Robin Bennett with Changing Lanes, WellCare, Coca-Cola, Smoothie King, Capital City Produce, and Give 365 BR.
