Baton Rouge Behavioral Health (BRBH), located on Wooddale Blvd., closed today at 11 a.m. because of an unexpected power outage.
Evening groups are canceled. BRBH will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, March 9, for regular hours. 

Teen suicide prevention: “Get them to talk.”

Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people, ages 10 to 24, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To address the issue, the Louisiana Mental Health Association and CAHS recently hosted a public webinar, “Shining a Light on Suicide Prevention in Youth and the Black/African American Community.” CAHS Executive Director Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, says getting teens to talk is key to helping.
