Representatives of the CAHS Prevention Team attended the Shell Geismar Health & Wellness Fair, Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, and offered information to employees about the dangers of opioids and fentanyl.

CAHS Program Monitor Tamara Jones, PSIT, and Prevention Coordinator Ricki Davis-Robinson, PSIT, educated Shell employees about Narcan, the opioid overdose reversal medication, and talked about the importance of preventing opioids misuse.
The pair also spoke about the negative effects of social media on mental health and about how to help youth cope during difficult times.
CAHS staff reported that several employees shared personal stories about losing loved ones to overdoses, and thanked CAHS for raising awareness about the issues surrounding opioids and fentanyl.
