CAHS School Based Therapist Nina Julien, LMSW, attended the Feb. 16 My Ascension documentary screening in Donaldsonville and addressed attendees about the warning signs of teen suicide. Teen suicide, a serious national issue, hit Ascension Parish in 2017 when Dutchtown High School cheerleader, Emma Benoit, attempted suicide. Benoit (pictured left with Julien), was paralyzed from the attempt and now travels the country, telling her story to help others.
