CAHS participated in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Community Baby Shower, held Oct. 24 in Lakeland, LA.

The event, hosted in partnership with Walking with Moms in Need and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, brought together expectant mothers, families with infants, and community partners for a morning of support, education, and encouragement.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments, participated in door prize giveaways, and received diaper bags filled with essential baby items, helping to meet immediate needs.
CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, shared information about the agency’s services and provided helpful information about home safety, Shaken Baby Syndrome prevention, warning signs of drug, alcohol, and tobacco abuse, and action planning for depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy.
Yancy also gave families copies of the children’s book, “Be Sure to Say You’re Sorry and Please,” to help parents understand early childhood development and social-emotional learning.
