CAHS representatives participated in the 3rd Annual Louisiana Highway Safety Commission’s “1 Million Steps 2 Safety” 5K Run/Walk and Resource Fair, held Oct. 10 at the Louisiana State Police Headquarters in Baton Rouge.
Community members, organizations, and safety advocates gathered with community partners to promote pedestrian safety and encourage responsible road-sharing practices.

Representing CAHS were Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, who informed attendees about CAHS’ services, clinic locations, and health issues, including the dangers of vaping, fentanyl use, and the warning signs of drug and alcohol misuse.
Richbourg and Yancy also provided information about CAHS’ free Narcan trainings, the agency’s faith-based Recovery Sundays initiative, and its toolkit to fight opioid misuse.
CAHS partnered with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission to advance their shared missions of protecting public safety and saving lives.
