CAHS Executive Director Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, CCS, led a team of CAHS professionals who participated in the Park Forest Community Health and Wellness Fair, held June 7 at Grace Covenant Community Church in Baton Rouge.

Grace Covenant’s Pastor Brandon M. Smith presided at the event, attended by CAHS Registered Nurse Manager Maria Bates, RN; and Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT.
Dr. Laughinghouse facilitated an educational session about overall wellness, offering her insights about the importance of good physical and mental health.
She also highlighted strategies for achieving overall well-being, and she detailed the various services CAHS offers to support individuals and families in its seven-parish service area.
The CAHS team talked about prevention, the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices, and distributed free kits of Narcan, the medication that reverses the deadly effects of overdoses from opioids.
