CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Prevention Project Coordinator Ricki Davis attended the Community Prayer Breakfast, held at Boudreaux’s in Baton Rouge on Sept. 26.
The theme for this year’s gathering, “Enhancing Our Foundation,” brought together leaders, community members, and faith-based organizations to reflect on the importance of unity, prayer, and community engagement.
The event featured inspiring messages from local clergy and leaders, focusing on how faith can be a guiding force in building a stronger, more connected community. The attendees shared ideas about how to enhance efforts to serve and encourage residents of the region.
Richbourg and Davis visited with East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome (pictured above) and other attendees about CAHS’ faith-based initiative, “Recovery Sundays.”
Richbourg and Davis also provided Mayor Broome, ministers, and others with copies of the CAHS Faith-Based Toolkit that informs faith leaders, organizations, and congregations about steps they can take to prevent opioid misuse and encourage individuals to access addiction recovery services.
