CAHS proudly served as a sponsor of “Tragedy to Triumph,” a community event and faith-based initiative hosted on June 6 by Families of a Broken Heart at New Life Christian Center in Baton Rouge.
Families of a Broken Heart is dedicated to encouraging individuals and families impacted by violence, addiction, grief, trauma, and life’s unexpected challenges. Through faith, community partnerships, and supportive resources, the organization strives to help people regain hope, find healing, and move forward with purpose.

The event brought together a diverse panel of speakers who shared their personal journeys of loss, addiction, recovery, grief, and perseverance. One panelist spoke candidly about raising her grandchildren while supporting her daughter through substance use challenges, offering a powerful perspective on the realities many families face today.
CAHS Community Social Service Counselor Rosalyn Davis PLPC, CCGC, CAC, participated as a panelist, sharing valuable insights on mental health, trauma, grief, and recovery. Her message highlighted the importance of seeking support, reducing stigma, and promoting wellness within our communities.
CAHS’ Director of Prevention and Wellness Services Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, also participated in the event with CAHS Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT. The team provided attendees with prevention resources and information about CAHS’ support services in behavioral health and addiction recovery.
Through partnerships such as Tragedy to Triumph, CAHS remains committed to strengthening communities, fostering recovery, and promoting hope throughout the region.
