CAHS’ Prevention Team of Dawn Collins, Alicia Richbourg, Bridget Lewis, and Yolanda Yancy (pictured, l-r), hosted a booth at the 2023 Baton Rouge Pride Festival on June 24 at the Raising Cane’s River Center.
The free event, attended by more than 10,000 people, included entertainment and information about health and wellness.
The CAHS team provided the LGBTQ+ community and their families with information about CAHS’ services and issues of underage drinking, the dangers of vaping, and opioid misuse.
Most attendees were interested in CAHS mental health services for both adults and children. The event also gave CAHS the opportunity to raise awareness about today’s wellness challenges and to provide guidance for help needed by the LGBTQ+ community.
