CAHS’ Prevention Team participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Drug Take Back Day, April 22, at Baton Rouge Police Department headquarters on Airline Hwy.

Throughout the morning, individuals and families drove through the event to drop off expired or unused medications and to learn from CAHS staff about safe medication storage and disposal practices.

A total of 2,000 pounds of various medications, including addictive opioids, were dropped off at the police headquarters that day.
