CAHS joined forces with Aetna Better Health of Louisiana, the U.S. Marine Corps, City of Baton Rouge Constable Terrica Williams, Louisiana State Police, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Baton Rouge Police Department to host the Annual Fall Festival on Nov. 1.
CAHS representatives included Director of Prevention and Wellness Services Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP; Nurse Manager Maria Bates, RN; Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP; Social Services Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC; and Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT.
The CAHS team informed attendees about the broad range of CAHS’ services, including behavioral health, addiction recovery, developmental disabilities, and prevention. They also distributed food boxes and kits of Narcan, the opioid overdose reversal medication, and talked about its importance in saving lives.
The event, held at the BRPD headquarters on Airline Hwy., attracted more than 200 attendees and featured more than 50 community partners who offered a variety of services, including free health screenings, vaccinations, HIV and STD testing, as well as valuable information about community health resources.
