Saturday, May 23, was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop the turnout or success of CAHS’ “Fueling Hope, Powering Recovery: Driving Into Recovery” event at the White Castle Community Center.
The event brought together community members, organizations, and local leaders who provided vital health and wellness resources to individuals and families throughout the community.
CAHS was represented by Prevention and Wellness Director Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, and Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Ricki DavisRobinson, PSIT.

The CAHS Prevention Team distributed free hot meals and kits of Narcan, the opioid-overdose reversal medication.
Attendees participated in the event by driving through and receiving free health and wellness resources, substance misuse prevention and recovery information, health screenings, and educational materials from the participating vendors.
Special thanks to the supporting sponsors and partners, including White Castle Mayor John Morris, III, the White Castle Police Department, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Life House University, the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living, and WellCare.
