Stephen Aguillard, LCSW-BACS, who most recently served as CAHS’ Mental Health Regional Director, has retired after 33 years of state service that was acknowledged by Governor John Bel Edwards and CAHS’ leadership.
Aguillard, known for his dedication to family, love of LSU, and excitement for “all things Disney,” was honored April 27 at a gathering of his fellow leaders and staff.
Several of his colleagues spoke of Aguillard’s attention to details, hands-on leadership, and the fulfillment he experienced when working with clients as a licensed clinical social worker.
CAHS Executive Director Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, presented Aguillard with a crystal award from his CAHS colleagues, commemorating his years of service. She also presented him with a certificate of appreciation from Gov. Edwards.
Aguillard, whose retirement is effective April 30, said he plans to spend his retirement traveling and enjoying quality time with family.
Dr. Laughinghouse officially announced that John Nosacka, LCSW-BACS, MSHCM, who has been serving as CAHS’ Director of Emergency Preparedness and Training, will serve as the new Mental Health Regional Director.
