Members of CAHS’ Prevention and Wellness Team attended the 17th Annual Baton Rouge Pride Fest 2026, held at the Raising Cane’s River Center on June 27.

Sponsors for the event, which was themed “This Is What Pride Feels Like,” included Exxon Mobil, Open Health Care Clinic, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), and the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Thousands of attendees joined in a celebration of visibility, inclusion, and pride.
As one of 75 participating vendors, CAHS connected with more than 1,000 attendees and their families, offering vital prevention resources and education.
The CAHS team provided information about the agency’s services, suicide, depression awareness, the impact of social media on mental health, and issues resulting from substance misuse. CAHS’ staff also distributed kits of Narcan, the life-saving medication that reverses the effects of overdoses from opioids.
The team’s presence reinforced CAHS’s commitment of supporting wellness, safety, and empowerment across the LGBTQ+ community.
