The CAHS Prevention Team was invited by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office to provide a training to its staff about overdose prevention and the administration of Narcan, the medication that reverses the deadly effects of overdoses from opioids.
CAHS representatives presented the latest data about opioid-related overdoses and deaths in Louisiana and shared information about how law enforcement plays key roles in prevention and response.
In addition to demonstrations about how to administer Narcan, the training featured video testimonials about the real impacts of the opioid epidemic in Louisiana.
