West Feliciana Hospital in St. Francisville was the site of CAHS’ “Driving Into Recovery” event, held Dec. 14 to provide vital resources, support, and education information about mental and physical health, substance misuse prevention, and addiction recovery.
Dozens of families drove through the parking lot of the hospital where CAHS’ Prevention Team joined with the hospital staff to distribute turkeys, children’s diapers, and other resources, including kits of Narcan, the life-saving medication used to reverse overdoses from opioids.
“The event is designed to be easy for the attendees who stay in their vehicles as volunteers bring them essential resources and supplies to help make their lives better,” said CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, who organized the event.
Special thanks to CAHS’ event sponsors for their generosity and support:

- Women’s Service League of St. Francisville
