Summer of ’22: Hitting the streets to help families

June 13, 2022

June 11 was a busy day, as the CAHS Prevention Team spoke with individuals and provided Narcan overdose reversal kits at “Families Fighting Against Drug Addiction,” hosted by Families with a Broken Heart at New Life Christian Center. Individuals shared testimonies of recovery, and resources were provided to attendees. The CAHS team also visited “Heal the Block,” an initiative of East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome that is presented by the Baton Rouge Community Street Team on Saturdays through Aug. 6 at various locations to help bring families and the community together.
