
Members of the CAHS Prevention Team hosted an outreach table at the Rougarous Recovery Program event, held Feb. 25 at the River Parishes Community College (RPCC) campus in Gonzales.
According to the college’s website, the Rougarous Recovery Program assists students who are in recovery from alcohol and other substance use disorders by helping them make lifestyle changes and adopt healthy, sustainable habits of mind, body, and spirit.
CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy , RPP, and Program Monitor Tamara Jones, PSIT, visited with the students and RPCC employees, informing them about the array of services offered by CAHS. They also shared information about the warning signs of drug, alcohol and tobacco use, as well as the dangers of fentanyl.
