Narcan is a medication used to prevent deaths in cases of overdoses from opioids. If your organization or agency would like a free Narcan training, please contact our Prevention and Wellness Team at 225-663-6231.
Baton Rouge Community College’s Acadian campus was the site of CAHS’ most recent Narcan training, conducted July 7.
CAHS Social Services Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC, and Prevention Coordinators Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT, and Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, conducted the training for 20 BRCC nursing students and three nurse educators.
Special thanks to BRCC nurse educator Shanda Arnold who visited with CAHS’ staff at the BRCC Adult Education Fair in June and invited CAHS to conduct the training. Plans are being made for the CAHS team to return to BRCC during the fall semester to train additional nursing classes.
