CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, represented the agency at the “Helping the Homeless: Giving Hope to Those in Need” community event, held Dec. 21 at the corner of Convention St. and N. 16th St. in downtown Baton Rouge.
The annual event, hosted by Jedediah Reed, provided an opportunity for individuals who are experiencing homelessness to receive essential resources from various agencies and individuals who joined forces to help.
Richbourg provided attendees with information about CAHS’ services in the areas of prevention, behavioral health, addiction recovery, and developmental disabilities. She also distributed 34 kits of naloxone (Narcan) to promote harm reduction and to help prevent overdose deaths from opioids.
