The CAHS Prevention Team attended the annual Harvest Festival, held in New Roads on Nov. 2 to recognize the local agriculture-based community.
The fun-filled family event included 5K and one-mile runs, a beauty pageant, rodeo, food, crafts, carnival rides, petting zoo, and pumpkin contest. The event also provided a showcase for classic and modern tractors used in agriculture.
The festival attracted a variety of vendors and organizations that included CAHS, Gleaux Rx IV Bar and Med Spa, Great Day Improvements, and NOLA Wax Hands.
The CAHS Team provided information about the agency’s services, the dangers of fentanyl, and the warning signs of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use. Visitors at the CAHS booth also enjoyed playing “Spin the Wheel” to win promotional items.
