CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, participated as one of the volunteers at the “Cuts 4 the Community” back-to-school event, presented by Best Cuts Barbershop, Aug. 10, at Glen Oaks Magnet High School in Baton Rouge.
In addition to providing information about CAHS’ various services to the adults and youth at the event, Richbourg used her talents to help style hair for the girls and also talked with them about being confident and ready for the new school year.
The event was sponsored by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Department. Youth were treated to free haircuts and school supplies, and teachers were provided with a variety of supplies for their classrooms.
“Everyone had a great time. The teachers and children were excited about the new school year, and it was fun to represent CAHS to give time, talent, and resources to the students, teachers, and families,” said Richbourg.
