Members of CAHS’ staff participated in the Love Impact Coalition Free Health Clinic, held Aug. 23 at Capitol Senior High School in Baton Rouge.
The event was presented by the Love Impact Coalition, the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President’s Office of Community Development, and Louisiana Senator Regina Barrow. Supporters included Louisiana Healthcare Connections and EBR Metropolitan Councilman Cleve Dunn.
Attendees of all ages were offered free medical, dental, and vision services, along with community resources from participating partners, including CAHS.
Social Services Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC, and Prevention Coordinators Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT, and Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, staffed the CAHS table where attendees received information about the dangers of opioids and kits of the overdose-reversal medication Narcan.
The CAHS team also shared information about CAHS’ various services and the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
