Members of CAHS’ Prevention and Wellness Services participated in the Black Family Wellness Expo 2026, hosted March 21 by The Links, Incorporated – Baton Rouge and La Capitale chapters, and held at the Louisiana Leadership Institute in Baton Rouge.

In CAHS’ ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis and reduce overdose fatalities, CAHS’ Director of Prevention and Wellness Services Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, and Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, distributed kits of Narcan to expo attendees and provided information about the variety of services CAHS offers.
Narcan is the life-saving medication that rapidly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
The expo served as a community-centered health initiative dedicated to promoting wellness, education, and access to vital health resources for Black families in the region.
CAHS’ collaboration with The Links, Incorporated further strengthens relationships with community-based organizations that are committed to health equity and family well-being.
