Breakfast with Santa and Toy Giveaway event

CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg provided information to attendees.

On Dec. 21, CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg participated in the 7th Annual Breakfast with Santa & Toy Giveaway Event, hosted by the Martin Luther King Community Center and held at Capitol Elementary School in Baton Rouge.

Richbourg shared opioid misuse prevention and medication safety resources along with educational materials about CAHS’ services, substance misuse, underage drinking, bullying, vaping, and emotional intelligence. About 350 people attended the event.

Several organizations and individuals came together to produce the event, including State Representative C. Denise Marcelle, the Baton Rouge Fire Department, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, Baton Rouge City Police, the Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Open Health Care Clinic, Louisiana Health Connections, the Louisiana Department of Health, the EBR Parish Council on Aging, the EBR Mobile Library, Metro Health, and the YMCA.
