
Members of CAHS’ Prevention Team participated in the 2025 ICARE Summer Clinic Prevention Day, held June 18 at Glen Oaks Park Elementary School.
CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, and Program Monitor Tamara Jones, PSIT, distributed promotional items and provided information about coping skills and the dangers of vaping and underage drinking. They also shared information about CAHS’ services with teachers, parents, and volunteers.
The event was designed to bring prevention awareness and resources to youth in grades K-5. In addition to CAHS, other participating vendors included the Baton Rouge Police Department, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the EBR Parish Library, the American Red Cross, Metro Health, and the Southern University Ag Center.
