On June 4, CAHS’s Prevention Team provided training about opioids and overdoses for the agency’s staff who are part of the new Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic – Planning, Development, and Implementation (CCBHC-PDI) Grant.
Prevention Coordinator Dawn Collins, JD, Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, and Social Service Counselor Rosalyn Davis, CAC, conducted the training to teach the grant staff how to effectively administer Narcan (naloxone), the life-saving medication that reverses the effects of opioids overdoses.
The hands-on training also covered various impacts of the opioid crisis on the region.
