CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg attended the West Feliciana Community Resource Expo and Color Run, hosted by West Feliciana Hospital in St. Francisville on Sept. 14.
Richbourg (pictured right) provided information about medication safety, suicide prevention, fentanyl, and other drugs.
The event brought together community members, local service providers, and organizations focused on promoting wellness, support, and engagement. The event started with a high-energy Color Run that created a vibrant atmosphere by encouraging participants to get active.
The Color Run was followed by the Community Resource Expo that featured CAHS and other exhibitors from health care, education, mental health, and social services. Representatives of the organizations provided information and resources about addiction recovery, mental health, housing assistance, and more.
“I was impressed with the collaboration and commitment of the community to strengthen individuals and families by making sure they had access to the resources they need,” said Richbourg. “The event represented a meaningful effort to create a healthier, more resilient community.”
