March 15, 2023

March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and Capital Area Human Services is helping raise awareness by producing and airing a new television ad in partnership with the BRProud family of stations, including NBC-33 and FOX-44.

Click here to watch the ad that features Social Service Counselor Kyllie M. Jenkins, CAC, CCGC, who specializes in problem gambling recovery as part of CAHS’ Addiction Recovery Services program, located at Baton Rouge Behavioral Health, 2751 Wooddale Blvd., Suite A.

More than 200,000 individuals in Louisiana are affected by problem gambling, which can lead to losses of your car, home, family (divorce), and even your life, as suicide rates are higher for problem gamblers.
