CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Social Services Counselor Treniece Landry Hills, M.A., CAC, participated in the “Step Into Freedom” event, held Sept. 19 at The Church International in St. Amant.
More than 400 community members attended the event, where the CAHS representatives provided information about the agency’s prevention, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, and addiction recovery services.
Also, in its continuing effort to reduce overdose deaths in the region, the CAHS team distributed free boxes of Narcan, the life-saving opioid overdose reversal medication.
“We are committed to supporting recovery, building resilience, and providing resources that foster hope, healing, and freedom from addiction,” said Richbourg.
