CAHS’ leadership and staff members of the agency’s Total Health & Wellness Clinic were proud to host officials of the Louisiana Department of Health’s Office of Behavioral Health for a clinic tour on March 5.
“We applaud this new bold strategy to better serve our citizens of Louisiana through a more integrated and coordinated care model”, said Holly Howat, PhD, Assistant Secretary of The Office of Behavioral Health. “Our office is setting a new vision and strategic path to better service in enhancing pathways to treatment. This is a great local example of how we can unite our treatments together to offer better service in one location.

CAHS Executive Director Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, CCS, said the clinic, located at 2751 Wooddale Blvd. in Baton Rouge, takes an innovative approach by combining primary health care, mental health, substance use treatments, and prescriptions all under one roof.
“We deliver client-focused, integrated medical care and supportive services leading to more healthy, productive lives,” said Dr. Laughinghouse.
