St. James Community Christmas Feast

December 12, 2022

Prevention Services staff, along with representatives of CAHS’ Louisiana Spirit program, participated in the 2022 St. James Church Community Christmas Feast, held Dec. 11. The local community was invited to this festive event to enjoy a hot, nutritious holiday meal, hot cocoa, fellowship, and music performed by the church’s guitarist.

CAHS’ outreach teams provided information about the agency’s services, medication safety, and coping skills. Staff members also gave promotional items, such as stress-relieving balls and keychain poppers, to everyone who attended.

Other businesses and organizations that attended the event included Walgreen’s Pharmacy (provided flu and COVID vaccinations), the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank (distributed food boxes), and St. James Church’s Pantry (distributed fresh fruit, snacks, and toiletries).
