Capital Area Human Services Prevention and Wellness team members. Yolanda Yancy, RPP, (pictured above) and Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, participated in the Southern University Annual Employee Appreciation Day, Oct. 10, at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
The event included a community health fair where Yancy and Richbourg provided information about CAHS’ services, the dangers of fentanyl and its appeal to younger age groups, and the harmful effects of e-cigarettes and vaping.
The CAHS team also distributed medication record charts and informed attendees about the use of Deterra bags to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications (instead of improperly tossing medications in the trash).
