Capital Area Human Services participated in the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s 3rd Annual Redz River Run and Community Health Fair, held March 16 at Southern University.
Representatives from CAHS’ Prevention Services, Developmental Disabilities Services, Children’s Behavioral Health, Addiction Recovery Services, and Gambling Treatment programs connected with more than 800 attendees, providing them with information about alcohol and substance misuse, vaping and tobacco use, opioid awareness, and addiction treatment and recovery.
Many attendees shared information with the CAHS staff members and inquired about services that could help them and their families.
