CAHS Prevention Specialists Ricki Robinson-Davis, PSIT, and Alicia Richbourg, PSIT (pictured above), along with Social Service Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC, led a Narcan training session, Oct. 6, for clients of CAHS’ Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program.
The session informed clients about the number of opioid overdoses and deaths in Louisiana and emphasized the life-saving role of Narcan in reversing opioid overdoses.
The training included information about overdose symptoms and effective administration of Narcan. Clients also took part in hands-on demonstrations and discussions about overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies.
