CAHS Director of Prevention and Wellness Services Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, and Prevention Coordinator Ricki Robinson Davis, PSIT, represented the agency at Metro Health’s 12th Annual Red Wig Walk, held May 3 at A.Z. Young Park in Baton Rouge.
Lewis and Davis distributed kits of Narcan, the live-saving medication that reverses the effects of overdoses from opioids, and they informed attendees about CAHS’ various services in the areas of prevention, behavioral health, and addiction recovery services.
The event featured entertainment and live music to help raise awareness about HIV prevention, treatment, and support services in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Participants also received complimentary T-shirts and red wigs to show their support of the awareness efforts.
