Members of the CAHS Prevention Team participated in the 2026 ICARE Summer Enrichment Prevention Day, held June 25 at Glen Oaks Park Elementary School in Baton Rouge.

The event was designed to promote prevention awareness and to provide valuable resources to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, and Program Monitor Tamara Jones, PSIT, engaged with students through interactive discussions about prevention, healthy coping skills, and the importance of making drug-free choices.
Additional community partners in attendance included the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, East Baton Rouge Parish Library System, East Baton Rouge Parish School System, the American Red Cross, the Baton Rouge Office of Violence Prevention, and Entergy.
Students were enthusiastic about learning these important life skills and were delighted to receive backpacks filled with goodies. The participating organizations helped create a fun, educational, and resource-filled experience for local youth.
