Holmes Building Materials held its “Winning with Wellness” health fair for employees, Sept. 25-26, at the company’s locations in Baton Rouge and Denham Springs.
CAHS Prevention Coordinator Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Prevention Project Coordinator Ricki Davis, attended the event, designed to promote employee wellness through a series of information booths and wellness screenings, such as blood pressure and glucose levels. The event also included educational presentations about stress management, nutrition, and exercise tips tailored to the construction industry.
Richbourg and Davis provided information about CAHS’ services, the misuse of alcohol, opioids, and other drugs, and the dangers of tobacco use and vaping. The CAHS team also demonstrated the proper use of Narcan, the life-saving medication administered during opioids overdoses.
