A dedicated team from CAHS proudly participated in the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office “Bags 2 School” event on July 12 at Woodlawn Middle School.
The CAHS team helped assemble 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies and assisted in distributing them to hundreds of local families in attendance. In addition to providing hands-on support, CAHS representatives also engaged with attendees on the dangers of opioid misuse.
Social Service Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC, along with Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, and Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT, offered education about overdose prevention and distributed free kits of Narcan — the life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.
