The East Feliciana Council on Aging in Clinton was the site of CAHS’ latest “Driving Into Recovery” event, held April 26, and attended by scores of individuals and families from the area.
CAHS and its partners provided vital resources, support, and educational information about mental and physical health, substance misuse prevention, and addiction recovery.

“The Driving Into Recovery events are designed to allow attendees to stay in their vehicles and drive through, as representatives of CAHS and other organizations bring them essential resources and supplies to help make their lives better,” said CAHS Prevention Coordinator and event organizer Alicia Richbourg, PSIT.
CAHS’ Prevention Team joined with the Life House University staff to distribute barbecue plates, and attendees picked up various supplies, including children’s diapers and kits of Narcan, the life-saving medication used to reverse overdoses from opioids.
