CAHS Social Services Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC, along with Prevention Coordinators Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT, and Alicia Richbourg, PSIT, conducted a Narcan training session on Aug. 13 for more than 30 START CORPORATION employees in Baton Rouge.
The training, also attended by CAHS Prevention and Wellness Director Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP, helped participants recognize the signs of opioid overdose, understand the importance of timely intervention, and learn how to administer Narcan, which reverses the deadly effects of overdoses from opioids.
CAHS’ training included interactive discussions and demonstrations that gave attendees both the knowledge and confidence needed to save lives in emergency situations.

START CORPORATION is a non-profit that provides health services to the homeless, youth, veterans, and adults with substance use disorders and mental disabilities.
Special thanks to START CORP. Greater Baton Rouge Regional Vice President Addie Duval, LCSW-BACS, for requesting and coordinating the training.
