CAHS participates in “Sickle Cell Matters” event

Pictured above: CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, represented the agency at the “Sickle Cell Matters” awareness event, presented Sept. 6 by the May5Foundation at Grace and Compassion Church in Baton Rouge. The event included guest speaker Louisiana Senator Regina Barrow, recognized individuals who live with sickle cell, and honored the memory of those who have passed away from the disease. Yancy provided information about CAHS’ mental health services, substance use prevention, and strategies to help children cope as they go through various crises.
