CAHS participates in “Embrace Your Future” community event

September 22, 2023

Capital Area Human Services Prevention Program Monitor Yolanda Yancy attended the “Embrace Your Future” community event, sponsored by Empower 225 and My Community Cares, on Sept. 21, at the Baton Rouge Dream Center.

The family-oriented event raised awareness about mental health services with a focus on a new initiative of preventing the trafficking of girls.

Yancy visited with more than 100 attendees and provided information about CAHS’ services, including Children’s Behavioral Health, located at 422 Colonial Dr. in Baton Rouge. She also networked with various community partners, including the LSU AgCenter, the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI), Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, and Capital Area United Way.
