On February 26, members of CAHS’ Prevention Team participated in the East Baton Rouge Schools 2ndAnnual Wellness Expo, held at the EBR Parish Main Library on Goodwood Blvd.
The event focused on supporting adults with practical resources, health education and opportunities to build stronger community connections.
The Expo was designed to increase awareness about healthy living practices and to provide access to resources related to nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, and social support.
CAHS Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP, and Prevention Coordinator Ricki Davis-Robinson, PSIT, engaged and networked with community members and other agencies, providing resources about CAHS’ services, the dangers of fentanyl and fake pills, and binge drinking. The pair also distributed free kits of Narcan, the opioid overdose reversal medication.
