CAHS’ latest “Driving Into Recovery” event was May 24, in Baton Rouge, at the Dr. Leo S. Butler Community Center where individuals and families were provided health information, food, and resources throughout the morning.
“On a hot day in May, the Driving Into Recovery event accomplished its mission of allowing attendees to remain in the cool comfort of their vehicles while we and our community partners provided essential information and resources about wellness, prevention, and recovery,” said CAHS Executive Director Jan Laughinghouse, PhD, LCSW-BACS, LAC, CCS, who greeted attendees.
Dr. Laughinghouse was joined by several CAHS representatives, including Director of Prevention and Wellness Services Bridget Lewis, MS-LPP; Program Monitor Supervisor Yolanda Yancy, RPP; Social Service Counselor Rosalyn Davis, PLPC, CCGC, CAC; and Prevention Coordinators Alicia Richbourg, PSIT; and Ricki Davis Robinson, PSIT.

CAHS began its Driving Into Recovery initiative five years ago and has visited all seven parishes in its district in an effort to inform and strengthen communities through prevention, wellness, and recovery support.
